Very tasty pizza! My favorites are vegetarian (grilled vegetables) and the special. Nice staff and the food is always of a very good quality!

Nice and clean rooms. Spacious suite with a neat bathroom. A plus was the coffee machine for the morning. Even our dog felt comfortable in the room under the window, it was pleasantly quiet and well insulated. The inn has excellent cuisine. Seldom eaten such a perfectly grilled salmon cooked to the point. The vegetables and seafood pasta were also excellently prepared.

Very nice hotel. Clean rooms and friendly staff at reception. 😊 Unlike the service staff, in my opinion, they need training on how to deal with guests. Breakfast goes like this. Had to reorder something every day, as it didn't work out to order breakfast. Stayed there for 2 nights

Today, on a Sunday, we went to the Hotel & Restaurant Ritter Jörg for lunch with the family. The building makes a very good impression both from the outside and inside, the toilets are very clean and modern. Now to the restaurant: The furniture in the somewhat older style looks great and also fits the flair of the old town in Sommerhausen. The staff is very friendly and looks after their guests very attentively. Since there were five of us there, of course we tried all kinds of dishes, pizza, pasta, fish and meat, everything tasted very good and was ready after a very short time (~ 15min), it felt even faster. All in all a very recommendable restaurant with great staff who understand how very good service works. We will be back definitely!

Very nice hotel in the best location. The staff was very friendly and reserved a table for us in their own restaurant for the evening. Food was also very good (Schäuferla with dumpling). Can just be recommended.

Dear Mr. Gianni Mentolo! There are rules and there is style! They are also training us now instead of dealing with the style of the staff! We followed the rules but the waiters were rude! Modern rooms with a rich breakfast, we were very satisfied. The kitchen is also highly recommended - they are still freshly cooked here! We'd love to come back next summer :-)

So the kitchen in the restaurant is an absolute dream for connoisseurs! We hadn't expected much in the small village and were then very pleasantly surprised at what you can get here so delicious!

Five stars for the room. There is nothing wrong with the friendliness and the service. The location of the hotel, behind the medieval city fortifications, invites you to walk down the city wall after a good meal. Now Sommerhausen has survived the Vikings, the Mongols, the Ottomans, the plague, several wars, even the Reformation, so today the danger comes from within and the Christian West is in danger. Not only here, throughout Germany, "warm-up piglets" make it into the breakfast room and are offered to the guest as if they didn't want to see him again. Fresh bread rolls are promised in the order filled in in the evening. An empty phrase in view of the warmed piles of dough which are placed on the table for the guest in the morning. A virus prevents people from crossing the street. Here the master baker is waiting for the really fresh rolls to be picked up. Wherever possible, the missing city gates have meant that the virus has already infected the bakery trade. The hotel interprets the distance requirement incorrectly. With mouth and nose protection, 15 m away from the knight Jörg, you can get the rolls that were promised to the guest. If necessary, you could also put on your armor and wash your hands in the well, so equipped you can cross the street to get closer to the baker. A manageable risk in my opinion. If I cross the town again by bike, I will take the residual risk on my own. Too bad, otherwise everything is actually right in the locality. Only the rolls are an insult to the eyes and the palate!

We had dinner in the evening after arrival. Jägerschnitzel with fries and salad. Very tender and good taste. Smooth operation. Slept wonderfully at night and a delicious and extensive breakfast in the morning.

Simply great, the mixture "Franconia meets Italian" more than successful! Super delicious food, great value for money, the service brisk and nice. What more do you want?

Persistent friendliness of the team (reception, helpfulness with luggage and in the restaurant) We think seriously about not recommending your house so that we always have space !!!. By the way, the dinner was great too! We enjoyed the hours.

Nice historical restaurant with great flair. Waitresses could be a lot more attentive and check their guests from time to time. Food (fish platter) was good, but a little greasy and too long in the pan. Still recommendable.

As a pitstop form the Netherlands to Austria, it was a great accomodation. The room was large and clean. Everything in the room looked brand new. The hotel was pretty and the breakfast was really good. The village is a nice and historical place to visit. The hotel has a good restaurant and also the area was nice. The employees we're friendly.
